CellXpert’s Josh Swerdlow explains why iGB Affiliate’s ‘incredible energy’ makes it the launchpad for the year

How does iGB Affiliate contribute to your business, what do you gain from participating in the event, and what does success look like?

iGB Affiliate is where you get to see the industry’s challenges and opportunities laid out in real-time. What’s fascinating is that the issues operators start to encounter early in the year often mirror the problems we’ve just helped other clients solve. It’s like being ahead of the curve—when we’ve already got solutions ready to go for what’s just starting to become a trend.  Take payouts, for example. Multi-brand programs are a hallmark of the industry, but they’re also where complexity creeps in. Affiliates often hesitate to work with additional brands within a program due to negative carry-overs. This shouldn’t be the norm. At CellXpert, we empower operators with a no-negative-carry-over policy that treats each brand independently, allowing affiliates to earn from profitable brands without being penalised by others.
Add to that the power of granular reporting—real-time data that breaks down custom NGR, commissions, and ROI by product, brand, affiliate manager, or even country, with filters like deposits over €30. It’s precision reporting designed to give operators a clearer picture and affiliates more confidence.
For us, success at iGB Affiliate isn’t just about showcasing features: it’s about connecting with operators and showing them what’s possible when you put transparency and innovation at the heart of affiliate management. That’s why we’re here.

Taking place at the beginning of the year, do you think iGB Affiliate will set the tone for the remainder of 2025?

Absolutely! iGB Affiliate feels like the launchpad for the year. It’s where operators share what’s keeping them up at night, and for us, it’s a chance to step in and say, ‘We’ve seen this before, and here’s how we’ve solved it.’  Take the growing demand for real-time data and automation. Affiliates are becoming more vocal about the need for instant, accurate insights, especially in a world driven by influencers, programmatic campaigns, and fast-moving opportunities. These aren’t just buzzwords; they’re game-changers for success. At CellXpert, we’ve spent 2024 refining features like postback integrations and API connectivity, enabling operators to empower affiliates with the data they need, exactly when they need it.
iGB Affiliate creates that all-important momentum. For operators, it’s a chance to embrace tools that build trust and efficiency. For affiliates, it’s about seeing programs designed with their needs in mind. And for us, it’s an opportunity to help the industry start strong and set the pace for the rest of the year.

How would you describe the experience that iGB Affiliate delivers for visitors and exhibitors?

iGB Affiliate has this incredible energy. It’s not just about booths or sales pitches; it’s about genuine conversations that lead to real solutions. What I love is how dynamic it is. Our CEO, Assaf, is constantly pulled into deep conversations on the floor because of his years of industry knowledge. I’ll be involved in panels and Q&As, digging into the big questions operators and affiliates are asking.  At the booth, it’s where those high-level conversations translate into actionable strategies. We can walk someone through exactly how to solve their challenges using our platform. It’s a mix of listening, learning, and showcasing how we can help.

In your opinion what are the main trends impacting the affiliate industry?

Three big trends are reshaping the industry right now. First is the demand for real-time data and transparency. Affiliates want to see exactly how they’re performing, and operators need to deliver that if they want to build trust. Second, compliance is huge: markets like Brazil are making regulation a top priority, and operators need to make tough and expensive decisions now for their futures. Finally, automation and AI are driving efficiency. Operators are using these tools not just to save time but to uncover insights that were previously out of reach. For example, within just a few months, our AI reporting tools and automated workflows, are now being used by 40%, and growing, of our clients weekly, showing just how valuable they’ve become. It’s an exciting time to be part of this evolution.

What are the most promising emerging markets, and what opportunities do they present?

Latin America and Asia are two regions full of opportunity. LATAM stands out because of its young, tech-savvy population and its young regulatory framework. Asia, on the other hand, offers huge potential, but it’s all about understanding the nuances of each market. What works in one country might not translate to another. That’s why we’ve invested so much in features such as sub-affiliate multi-commission-tiers, multi-language 7-day support, and flexible commission structures. Take Brazil, for example, where new regulations are shaking things up. Operators who adapt quickly with localised tools and compliant solutions will have the upper hand. That’s where we come in.

What new technologies are transforming the industry?

Augmented Reality (AR) is on the cusp of reshaping iGaming. Imagine players using devices like Apple’s AR glasses or Microsoft HoloLens to interact with virtual casino environments in real-time. Mixed reality could bring fully immersive, 3D experiences where players feel like they’re at the table interacting with dealers, other players, and their surroundings in ways that were previously unimaginable.
AI, on the other hand, is already here and making waves. It’s driving hyper-personalized experiences, smarter reporting, and predictive analytics that empower operators to optimize player engagement like never before. Now, imagine combining AR and AI—a fully immersive, personalized VR casino world. The potential is limitless.
Finally, automated payment workflows are bridging the gap between trust and efficiency. Seamlessly aligning internal workflows with affiliate systems ensures timely, accurate payments, building the transparency and reliability affiliates crave. At CellXpert, we’re not just watching these trends—we’re actively building the tools that will make them a reality for operators and affiliates alike.

What are you most looking forward to from participating in and being a part of iGB Affiliate 2025, the first edition to be held in Barcelona?

Having spent nearly 15 years in mobile affiliate and performance marketing, including leading European operations for HasOffers/Tune (affiliate tracking platform for networks), Barcelona has always been synonymous with innovation for me. Attending Mobile World Congress (MWC) annually—where over 100,000 people gather to tackle challenges and share trends—always felt fresh and inspiring. I believe Barcelona will bring that same energy to iGB Affiliate. It’s the perfect city to set the tone for what could become the MWC of iGaming.
At CellXpert, we’ve worked with some of the biggest names in the industry—Chilli Partners, Campeon, WPT Global, Rootz—and we’re eager to share the lessons we’ve learned. Scaling affiliate programs, fostering trust and transparency, and innovating with our partners aren’t just talking points; they’re strategies that are moving the needle. iGB Affiliate is our chance to collaborate with the industry, share insights, and push boundaries together.
