Fira Barcelona Gran Via, 19-22 January 2026
What's Different About iGB 2025?
Mandatory Waste Removal
It is compulsory for the exhibitor or the stand builder to order a pre-determined amount of waste control services in advance of arriving onsite. Unmanaged waste will no longer be permitted.
-
Safety and Accessibility: The gangways at our shows have become overly obstructed, increasing the risk of accidents during the build phase. Unmanaged waste poses a number of safety risks, including injury, increased threat of fire, blocks fire exits and hinders access for medical teams in emergencies.
-
Stakeholder Feedback: Stakeholder feedback has told us that unmanaged waste causes congested aisles, unsatisfactory working conditions and delays to stands being constructed.
-
Environmental Efficiency: Fira has the capability to manage and separate waste in a more environmentally efficient way, aligning with our sustainability goals.
-
Measuring Impact: We aim to measure our environmental impact more closely to enhance the sustainability of our shows and we are only able to do this if we have a better insight on what is actually disposed of.
Please see the below for minimum order requirements based on stand size:
Size Group | 1m3 Build | 1m3 Break | 240L Build | 240L Break | Total to Order |
Up to 25m2 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 1 | 2 |
26m2 to 50m2 | 1 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 2 |
51m2 to 150m2 | 1 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 2 |
Over 150m2 | 2 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 4 |
Order your waste removal services via the ServiFira webshop by Friday 29th November 2024 to guarantee the best rate. Failure to order the required waste removal services ahead of arriving onsite for build-up and breakdown may result in you not being permitted to commence the construction of your stand.
If a large amount of waste needs to be removed, additional m³ waste management or a container must be ordered through ServiFira at an additional cost. The removal of large quantities of waste is not included in the m3 standard waste management and will be invoiced if not ordered. If waste is not management appropriately or timely, further sanctions may apply.
All space only stand must submit a Waste Management Plan. Also your m3 Standard Waste Management Plan Order must be submitted alongside your stand plan submission.
For safety, health and environmental reasons, the tools that produce dust, such as all types of saws, must not be used inside the Fira de Barcelona halls, unless they are equipped with dust holding bags or suction systems designed for this purpose. It is not permitted to use the bathroom sinks for the build-up and breakdown work. The designated industrial sinks must be used for these activities.
Fly tipping, or the dumping of waste illegally instead of using an authorised method, is prohibited. If you are found to have fly tipped your waste within the halls, the lorry ways, or the vicinity of the Venue, fines or sanctions will apply.
At the end of the breakdown period, the contracted surface must be completely clean, which includes removing the adhesive carpet tape and any other material. Any Exhibitors that still have waste will be charged the cost of cleaning and waste removal to restore the conditions of the contracted space.
Fira de Barcelona will deploy waste disposal consultants, who will monitor, identify, and assign waste generated to individual exhibitors and their contractors. The charges for waste removal will then be invoiced directly to the exhibitor/contractor along with any penalty fees.

WiFi Policy
Important Information:
Fira Barcelona is well recognized for its outstanding IT and Wi-Fi infrastructure, equipped with the most advanced technology available on the market. With more than 1,700 high-density Wi-Fi antennas installed throughout the venue, we provide a high-quality, stable, and fast Wi-Fi network everywhere on the premises. To guarantee quality service, Fira Barcelona is the only authorized Wi-Fi supplier, and it is strictly forbidden to use devices that propagate wireless signals in the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz or 6 GHz frequency bands, as such devices can interfere with the overall Wi-Fi service provided at the venue.
During the event, Fira Barcelona will have an on-site team monitoring and keeping the venue interference-free. The organization reserves the right to identify and deactivate any wireless network not installed by Fira Barcelona. All exhibitors are required to comply with the iGB and Fira Barcelona Wireless Policy.
Fira Barcelona provides Wi-Fi services for exhibitors. If the services in the catalogue do not meet your needs, please contact Fira Barcelona by sending an e-mail to ice-igb.internet@firabarcelona.com.
If you require the installation of your own Wi-Fi network, special permission from the Organisers and the Venue is required, please, submit a formal request through the form Wireless_Policy_Exception_Form_ICE&IGB Affiliate 2025 and send it to ice-igb.internet@firabarcelona.com, for consideration. Please be aware that a fee will be applicable upon approval.
Recommendations
If your devices (mobile phones, laptops, etc.) can only connect through Wi-Fi, they must be compatible with the 5 GHz frequency band (Wi-Fi standard 802.11a/n/ac). Fira Barcelona will not be responsible for any claims regarding devices not compatible with 5 GHz. Please read the compatibility document for verification.
All exhibitors attending the event are subject to this policy, whether or not you purchase IT services.
Post-show Contractor Survey
Traffic
ICE 2025 & IGB Affiliate 2025 will operate a traffic management system to ensure the smooth processing of all exhibitor, contractor and key stakeholder vehicles. Kuehne + Nagel, our new exclusive logistics partner, will manage and operate the traffic management system leveraging their expertise and technology to ensure the below critical elements are met. To achieve operational excellence, a traffic management fee will be in effect.
Risk Reduction: Implementing safe traffic management systems reduces the risk of accidents within the venue, benefiting both road workers and the general public.
Mobility: Better managing traffic flow will reduce congestion and avoid delays.
Efficiency: A comprehensive logistics strategy and sophisticated data management tools will enhance efficiency across all time periods; improving waiting times for forklifts and optimising truck routing.
We will also be utilising the Kuehne + Nagel Traffic Management Booking system which will be published in November.
Please read our Traffic Instructions Guide for full information on vehicles accessing the venue to load and unload. Please note that this is only applicable for cargo vehicles. Pedestrian vehicles must use the venue car parks. Please click here to download the traffic instructions.
Service Chests
Many of all service chests have the same supply:
• III 400 V (CEE plug with 5 holes)
• 7 connections: 1X 63 amp, 2X 32A, 4X 16A
• Compressed air: 2 hoses per chest, 500-800 l/m, 7 bar.
• Water supply: 2 per chest, 1/2 inch, 4 bar, waste is 32mm
To confirm what supplies can be pulled from the service chests within your stand location, contact the relevant supplier.
All connection service chests located on the floors of the halls must be easy to register and must always be easily accessible. If a platform is installed, a hatch will be needed. A platform of 50mm should be enough to cover electrical cables though we recommend a platform of minimum 80mm for water and air connections regardless of whether those supplies are needed for the space which has the service chest or is planned for any of the neighbouring stands. If during build-up or show any cable gets unplugged for some reason, the chest needs to be accessed by the technical teams.
If your service chest is shared with another exhibitor(s), it must be accessible for your neighbouring exhibitor(s) at any time. Therefore, shutting off power or placing a lockable cover on the service chest is strictly prohibited. ServiFira will inform you which chest will be used by the other exhibitor(s) if this is the case.
